Coffee and Cigarettes
When I was browsing the film section in HMV in Portsmouth last week, this DVD caught my eye. I wanted to buy it, purely because of the title. Without even reading the synopsis, I knew that I had to see Coffee and Cigarettes. As it goes, I picked up the DVD and was hooked further by its description. It’s a series of short films all based around people sitting and talking over coffee and cigarettes. It’s funny, provocative and well worth watching. I particularly enjoyed the film with Iggy Pop and Tom Waites and the one with Jack and Meg White. Very enjoyable.
